Packing LIGHT (like,actually)

An extra fee? Fair chance of being delayed or possibly even lost? NO, THANKS. Personally, whenever I can travel with just a carry-on, I go for it.

I have traveled as far a Thailand with just an over-the shoulder carry-on.

Read below for tips.

  • map out the NUMBER of essential pieces you will need by date, weather, and occasion (ex. water proof sneakers, thermal base layer, hiking attire)

  • consider if you will have access to a washer in order to reuse pieces (I pack laundry detergent sheets with me or purchase detergent at a local supermarket on most trips)

  • do not pack OUTFIT BY OUTFIT (if you’re a fashionista- you will likely need to check your bag, apologies those days are behind me.)

  • 4 words: marie kondo folding method

  • once you’ve packed all items (including sufficient undergarments), recount to make sure you have enough or have not overpacked

  • …..and regarding that item you “think” you’ll wear—>be decisive (as with all areas of life)& either wear it or leave it out of your carry-on

Enjoy your hassle-free travel bag.
