Translation: The skillful hawk hides its talons.
Meaning: A hawk who is an incredibly skilled hunter, hides its talons from its prey. In other words, stay humble. Talented people don’t need to show off.

You will notice that garbage bins are extremely difficult to come across. Yes, you are expected to hold on to your trash (bags, containers, etc) in your bag or purse.
Pro Tip: Carry a sealed plastic bag in case you find yourself holding on to some rubbish.

In America, often times I notice folks rubbing their chopsticks together because they are cheap and wooden. Folks do this to make sure the chopsticks are smooth and have no spliners.
In Japan, do NOT do this. It is rude. I mean, consider this- a restaurant that has quality sushi will not have “cheap” chopsticks in Japan. Japanese people will find your act of rubbing them together as an insult.
